For accountants and bookkeepers
Good information starts where the invoice lands.
Kahwah is an accounts payable product the business runs for itself. Invoices and credit notes are read, organised, checked and approved where the work happens — so what reaches you has already been organised and reviewed within a consistent process at the client.
Across a client base
No two clients handle this the same way.
Some businesses have accounts payable well in hand. In others it lives across an inbox, a folder of PDFs, a spreadsheet and somebody’s memory of what was agreed. You tend to meet the result rather than the process — in how much has to be asked about, or pieced back together later.
The same work, three ways of doing it
Where it starts
The work happens once,
where the document is.
Kahwah gives the business one place for it. What arrives is read and structured — supplier, dates, tax, totals and the line items inside. It’s checked against the original while that document is still in front of them, recorded under a category the business chose, and approved by a person.
None of that is new work — it’s the work the client’s already doing, just organised into a form that holds together. What changes is what happens with it once it reaches you.
At the client’s end
By the time it reaches you
- Read and organised
- Information organised consistently, invoice after invoice.
- Checked against the original
- The document it came from is still there when a figure needs a second look.
- Categorised for the business
- Categories that mean the same thing this month as they did last.
- Approved, then kept
- What the business has settled, ready to report on or export when it’s needed.
The process stays
with the business.
Accounts payable usually sits with an owner, an office manager, someone in operations, or simply whoever ended up with it. Kahwah is built for that person. The work is theirs, the review is theirs, and so is the approval.
Recommending it doesn’t change that. You’re not setting it up on their behalf, and when an invoice looks unusual, what they need in order to check it is sitting next to the original document.
Organised around each business
The same product, shaped to what each client tracks.
Different clients rarely want the same things recorded. Categories, and the information each one captures, are set up by the business itself — so what ends up in the record matches how that business thinks about its own costs, while the process underneath stays the one you’d recognise at any client using Kahwah.

Illustrative. Each business sets up its own categories and decides what each one should capture.
More than one business
If Kahwah works well for one client, it’s something you can confidently introduce to another.
Each business uses Kahwah for its own accounts payable, with its own categories, people and approvals. Recommending it to another client doesn’t turn Kahwah into something you have to run centrally.
What carries across is the process. Financial information is easier to work with when it has been organised and checked close to where it came from — and that stays true one business at a time.
